Hutt recently gained a new addition in the form of ZL82 - a wagon of little importance until mid 2013 when it made a trip to Ferrymead (full of Eo components) only to leave a different colour! A bit of railfan cheek mixed with some silver paint resulted in this peculiar wagon - Bit of a "If you want it back you have to ask first" jobbe ZL82 spent a fair few months at ferrymead, being painted up for the 150 celebrations in October 13'. Unfortunately the green stripe did not make it in time for the event but it still mixed in well with the other equipment on site - Early 2014 saw the wagon return to the national network, with all tie down hooks and handrails painted yellow to comply with modern standards. Spending most of its time in the South Island it then went on to spend a few months in the upper North Island before its one-and-a-half way journey to Hutt. It's future? Well... Not quite the end of the line though - So is born another interesting log wagon variant. Excuse the shitty back-lit photo... While the Za (or variants thereof) may live on to see another day, the same cannot be said for the North island CF fleet... And to cap this off, the interesting vehicles hooked to ZL82... And the interesting vehicles hooked to Tweety...

Snapped cam shaft iirc. DFT's are in the same league as DC and DBR's at the moment, with anything major parking them up. DFB's are still safe however.
