Very slowly at that, but turning none the less. I've been jumping between projects like mad lately, both locomotive and wagon, so thought I would show you guys a few pieces and sum up why none of this stuff has been released. As you can see I like to group my wagons by underframe type, as once that is modeled it usually doesn't take too much effort to make a body to go on top. I'll start off with the furthest away from release and work my way closer. The new addition. whilst the ends are 99% finished I cannot say the same for the doors or underframe. I hate modeling brake gear - I really do. Ironic given my current position at work is overhauling brake components. Lpa's are frustrating also in their one-off style handbrake... oh well. The axle box and horns will come in handy with a lot of newer 4-wheel stock such as the Kp, Ks, Lb & Na - all essential NZR stock. The doors are half modeled however I have no depth dimensions which makes me weary to press on only to find a major mistake later. I guess I'm just being a pedantic prick. The partial deck i quickly pumped out today for something different to look at. Sadly it shows off very well this group of wagon's downfall - lack of brake gear (surprise surprise). That plus ARN and LOD will have the Uk's out on the road, but the Fe will require me to whip up a random log load similar to the one I made for the Usl. A mixed bunch this one! The Usl is by far my most complete wagon, with only LOD on the to-do list. I made a nice 4m pine load that switches between 6 different meshes and provides a pleasing consist once fully loaded. I must do the same for longer length logs some time... Next came the Us, with the bulkheads whipped up in a single night - they look quite good on close inspection - shame about the sides being so bare! I have modeled the chain ratchet however am still unsure how to model the worm to look effective without going overboard on the poly's. I imagine once that problem is sorted the rest will come rather quickly. I'll have to think up some neat loads. Last but not least is the Za - I made this a while ago however could not get the doors to my liking and it fell to the side for many months. Now I have modified and remapped them and I must say I am happy with the results. A few minor details, LOD and ARN will have these done and dusted.

So 4 years later I find this! I've been searching for a NZR (or even QGR) log wagon. Don't suppose anyone is reading this, or that it's available?
